Irish electronic / synthwave / dance duo Nixer (made up of Seán Keenan and Simon Gardner) have unveiled their new single “Fast One“.
The track features on their upcoming EP ‘I hit the town and the town hit me back‘, set to arrive on on May 15 via Blowtorch Records. Pre-order it here.
Nixer’s sound sound could be described as ‘New Wave’ and is a fusion of vocals, guitar and synths. Their new EP is a distillation of the trademark Nixer sound: uptempo and visceral, all whilst delicately balanced with the perfect amount of pop sensibilities.
Following on from the successes of previous singles Saccharine Smile, The Book, and Second Hand, Fast One is another quintessentially Nixer track. Fusing prose with a modern post punk beat, the track uncovers the darker side of the anticipated new Nixer record.
Fast One explores themes of mobile phones, nightlife, and how these two entangle and confuse our real-life relationships with online personalities we are forced to invent for ourselves.
