French synthpop/electronic/darkwave/synthpunk artist Other-ed (aka Laurent Chopard from Vague Scare/Golem Dance Cult) has dropped his new single “Soy City Blues“.
The track is out now and follows on from this year’s singles “Looking Through The Same Glass“ and “It’s All Around”. Grab it here.
Speaking about it, he says: “Have you ever felt like you didn’t belong anywhere? Have you ever heard that things used to be better here or there?
“Soy City Blues” is about wandering rather than fitting, exploring around and inside, keeping on looking for something we might never find even when “the grass is always darker on the other side.”
The streets of Berlin and the vastness of a city that keeps on changing seemed like a good playground for the DIY video.
Have a listen now.
Other-ed “Soy City Blues” Lyrics:
Always expecting too much
Keep on dreamin’ away
No matter where I go
On my way
I feel it again
Hear what they say
Soy City Blues
Just another day
Makes me feel okay
Soy City Blues
Never slowin’ down
Keep on keepin’ on
No matter what I do
On my way
I feel it again
Hear what they say
Soy City Blues
Just another day
Makes me feel okay
Soy City Blues
