British synth-pop legends Pet Shop Boys have dropped the video for their latest single “Feel“.
The song features on their recent album ‘Nonetheless‘, which came out in April via Parlophone. The CD single for “Feel” will be available as a five-track digital bundle on 27th September. Pre-order it here.
In an April interview with Record Collector, the duo disclosed that ‘Feel’ was originally offered to The Killers‘ frontman Brandon Flowers, while he was working on his solo album.
“We sent it to him when he was making his solo album with Stuart Price, but we don’t know if it reached him – and then, during lockdown, I read a book about the spy, George Blake, escaping from prison,” he said. “For some reason, it inspired me to return to this, so now it’s about visiting a loved one in prison.”
The video, directed by acclaimed young British artist Corbin Shaw and Rawtape, follows emerging UK actors Sam Bottomley and Tareq Al-Jeddal as they drive to the seaside while traveling across England. Corbin’s unique slogan-style artwork can be seen on banners placed along the cross-country route.
