Melbourne/Naarm indie rock/post punk band Radio Free Alice have revealed their new single “Spain“, accompnied by a music video.
The track features on their brand new EP ‘Polyester’, out today, August 21. Get it here.
Polyester, mixed by Ewan Pearson (Warpaint, M83, Joy Division) and mastered by Mikey Young, captures the raw, live energy that fans have come to expect from Radio Free Alice.
About the new single, vocalist Noah Learmonth explains:
“‘Spain’’s about a wealthy, gluttonous pig of a man and his attempt to manipulate a younger, more attractive woman into dating him through money. I suppose it’s about how money is a social currency as well as a material one, and how dark and twisted that is. I thought it was funny how arguing at an exotic holiday destination is kind of a staple of middle-class success. Having the luxury of going to a place like Spain only to have a ‘couple’s row’.”
