Seaside Return With New Single "We're On Fire"

Byron Bay indie rock/post punk/alt four-piece Seaside have returned with their new single “We’re On Fire“, their first in almost 2 years.

The song was produced by Tony Beliveau (The Crash Kings), engineered by Paul Pilsonic (Silverchair, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Adam “Atom” Greenspan (Bloc Party, IDLES, Arcade Fire).

Singer Dexter says:

“We’re On Fire is about the tug of war between two people in love, and the chaotic ball of lust and energy that is a relationship you are trying to keep from burning to the ground… Something in there will always keep you coming back.”

Seaside “We’re On Fire” Lyrics:

All my thoughts are stupid,
And all my mind is games,
You’ve been playing cupid, and I’ve been, yeah, I’ve been taking blame,
All the way to the airport, I was sitting on fire,
You’re just playing for bloodsport but I tried, yeah, I tried

And when I wake up,
I want something, I want something
From you, oh, but you give me nothing, give me nothing
How cruel

So I should never wonder,
Why we feel this way,
Not like when we were younger,
And you’d been and I’d been, chasing tail

All the way to the airport,
I was sitting in flames,
I pulled out my passport,
It’s on fire, we’re on fire

And when I wake up,
I want something, I want something
From you, oh, but you give me nothing, give me nothing
How cruel, oh, I want something, I want something,
From you, oh but you give me nothing, give me nothing,
How cruel

I wonder how far you’d go- we’re on fire
If that’s the way that you love- we’re on fire
If this is love, we’re on fire, If this is love, we’re on fire

And when I wake up- I want something, I want something, from-

And when I wake up,
I want something, I want something-
From you, oh, but you give me nothing, give me nothing
How cruel, oh, I want something, I want something,
From you, oh, but you give me nothing, give me nothing,
How cruel
