Northern Irish rockers Silent Running have unleashed their new single “Faith Healer” alongside an accompanying video.
The song will be out next Friday (September 1st) via Bandcamp, and October 6th on all streaming platforms. It follows on from “Walking Wounded” released earlier this year. Pre-order it here.

Silent Running signed to EMI and released their debut album ‘Shades of Liberty’ in 1984. For the follow up to that record, Silent Running then signed with Atlantic Records (the first Irish band to do so) and released ‘Walk on Fire’ in 1987 and ‘Deep’ in 1989. After that third album, the band folded for a full 30 years.
In 2019, Silent Running booked a gig at Belfast’s Voodoo and released the single ‘Lost Boy‘, which in turn led to the writing and recording the band’s first studio album in nearly 30 years.
Following single ‘Live Right Now’ came out in December 2020. ‘Beyond Your Wildest Dreams’ was released in February 2022 and ‘Darkest Hour’ (in aid of the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal) in April 2022.
Latest album ‘Follow the Light‘, recorded at Novatech in Belfast; the same studio in which they recorded the demos for the 80s albums, cam out in April 2022.
In August 2022 Silent Running supported Simple Minds where the band played to a massive crowd in Custom House Square, Belfast. They are currently in the process of writing and recording their full-length.
