Bristol indie pop/dream pop band Stay Lunar have revealed their new single “distance“.

It’s the second taste of their the upcoming EP ‘When The Sun Sets‘, out soon via SAM Records. We have already heard their previous track “I Like It When You’re Around”.

Grab it here and take a listen below.

Following a difficult pandemic period, changes within the band and personal struggles made progress difficult, and the band knew change was needed. Rather than throw in the towel; Harry, George and James set to work finding a new drummer in Tom Andrews, and swiftly recorded a new five-track EP in 2022 with producer Alex Quinn, which is set for release during the first half of 2023. The band also recruited the incredibly talented Kate Daggett to provide some additional vocals, guitar and keys.

Stay Lunar “distance” Lyrics:

i wake up every day with this feeling
what the hell am i supposed to say
when my head is reeling?
i’m writing all the words all over the ceiling
to find the meaning

so what am i supposed to do
when every part of me is you?
it feels like every way i lose

so i’ll keep my distance now
i’ll keep my distance now

i shake up every day
still no meaning
now i’m telling myself to be
where everyone’s leaning
i’m wiping all the words off of the ceiling
but i’m still reeling

i’ll keep my distance now (4)

when did it get so easy to hide away?
so many words i’m thinking but won’t say
i’m writing on the ceiling but you can’t see
’cause you’re looking down on me

so what am i supposed to do
when every part of me is you?
it feels like every way i lose

so i’ll keep my distance now
i’ll keep my distance now (3)
