Manchester indie/alt/fleece pop quartet Ventrelles have dropped their b-side track “Salamander Disco”.
The track, recorded by Christophe Bride and mixed by Dean Glover, serves as the b-side to their single ‘Acid Flower‘, released in January this year. Get it here.
Made up of Phil Knox on vocals and guitar, Connor Long on lead guitar, Paul Mahwhinney on bass and G-lo Knott on drums, Ventrelles deliver punchy, sun-soaked guitars, energetic rhythms, life-affirming vocals and soulful bass lines. The band is currently working on their highly-anticipated debut record, the first ever Fleece Pop album.
Commenting on the track, they say:
“Salamander Disco was written in full on Cala Tarida, Ibiza after a night at Flower Power at Pacha in 2017 and recorded at 6db Studios Salford in the bands formative demo sessions. The eye in the flower in the video and on the cover eventually formulated the theme for ‘Acid Flower’“.
