Manchester indie rock/indie pop/alt pop band Blossoms have aired their new single “I Like Your Look” and its accompanying music video.
The track is taken from their fifth album ‘Gary‘, produced by J Lloyd (Jungle 12M MLs) and James Skelly, out tomorrow, September 20th via the band’s own label ODD SK. Get your copy here.
Of the single, the band shared:
“We wrote this song with CMAT in an AirBnB we rented in Anglesey last summer. Us 5 had planned to go away and write together for a bit of a reset, me and Ciara planned to write together and this was the only week she could do so she came along. After trying some lacklustre ideas, Ciara called everyone into the kitchen, gave everyone a book and told us to all start calling out potential song titles, we came upon ‘I Like Your Look’, we ran with ideas of a tongue in cheek look at fashion and some of the clobber we wear, with Blondies Rapture being mentioned as a sonic reference. Was such a great night writing this song, I hope you enjoy it. IT’S NOT MY FAULT!!.”
