Manchester indie rock/indie pop/alt pop band Blossoms have unveiled their new single “Perfect Me” accompanied by a music video.
The track features on their upcoming fifth album ‘Gary‘, produced by J Lloyd (Jungle 12M MLs) and James Skelly, due to be released on September 20th via the band’s own label ODD SK. Pre-order your copy here.
Of the single, the band shared:
“We wrote this together in the rehearsal room one morning last year, you can hear the energy of the band on this record. It started with that Moog sequencer you hear at the top of the tune, that became the centrepiece of the track and the song became a subconscious nod to our love for ABBA, Springsteen and The Killers. I wanted the lyrics to be a stream of consciousness in the pursuit for perfection, which ultimately doesn’t exist.”
