Belgian indie rock/indie pop band Delta Crash have shared their new single “Stare into the Sun“.
The song is out now via Pig Parade Records , and is the title track of their upcoming new album, out next month. We have already heard their previously single “Growler“.
For the album, the band was inspired by the dreamy psychedic elements of Tame Impala, the vast sound of The War On Drugs and added a portion of blissful melancholy. As a result, this record has a broader, warmer sound. The ‘here and now’ is put aside and nostalgia and melancholy take center stage. People look back at the eternal summers of the past, but also dream about the uncertain – but who knows, even better – future.
This album contains eleven catchy songs that could actually all have been singles. All songs sound so convincing and are completely finished down to the smallest details. Not only does the band play with a broad sound palette, but there is also sufficient diversity in these songs. And then of course there is the familiar melancholic voice of Koen De Gussem that completes every track.
Star Into The Sun is proof that it is sometimes good to reflex as a band and then come back reborn and more convincing than ever.
